Q: Where will I stay? Are the rooms air-conditioned?
A: Participants will be housed (at no cost to the attendee) in residential halls or hotels near the campus. During your stay at Rose-Hulman you will live in one of our residence halls. You will have a private, comfortable room. The rooms are air-conditioned and furnished with beds, desks, study lamps, bookcase, and combination closet/drawer space. You MUST have a signed RHIT Waiver form (or Assumption of Risk and Release Waiver) filled out prior to staying on campus. If you need lodging, you will be able to check in after 3 pm starting the night before the first day of the event. We encourage you to come early to register with us and check into your hotel room to avoid the crowd.
Q: Do I have to book my own hotel room?
A: After your registration is accepted, we will send details for your lodging accommodations on the Rose-Hulman Campus or nearby hotel. All accommodations will be managed by the Educational Outreach Team. You will not be reimbursed for hotel rooms booked outside of this process. All hotel rooms are single occupancy. Email Nicki Manion at manion@rose-hulman.edu for questions.
Q: What time will workshops start and end each day?
A: Classes will be held in campus buildings. Workshops will run from 8:00am to 4:00pm. All times in Eastern Time.
Q: I am a commuter and live under 50 miles from Rose-Hulman, what does that mean for me?
A: If you live under 50 miles from Rose-Hulman, you will not necessarily be provided lodging because it is considered a standard daily commute. If you live between 25-50 miles, you will have the option for lodging, subject to room availability and needs. Daytime meals and snacks, all supplies, and evening events will still be provided at no cost. If you did not require lodging and you live within 50 miles, we will be reimbursing your mileage to and from Rose-Hulman each day, up to 50 miles. More details to come.
