K-12 Outreach
Professional Development
The Center for Educational Outreach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology takes pride in being enablers: we facilitate innovation in teaching and learning. We have transcended our original efforts to become a premier provider of professional development (PD) experiences for K-12 educators. Our mission is achieved through adherence to three overarching goals, which embody our supporting activities, operating philosophy, and expected outcomes. Availability of leading-edge services and resources ensure that these items are being used to the best pedagogical or curricular advantage. The CEO at RH model highlights the transformative power of non-textual digital resources in classrooms, complemented by immersive face-to-face workshops of varying durations.
The Designing for Impact Project is an essential component of our mission, extending our work beyond the classroom to offer innovative STEM-focused PD not only to educators but to professionals across various industries. By combining our expertise in educational outreach with a broader focus on STEM innovation, Designing for Impact strengthens our ability to influence and elevate teaching, learning, and professional practices across local, regional, national, and global levels.
